Knowing Jesus

Knowing Jesus personally is the most important decision you will ever make.

Made In God’s Image

Every person has been made in God’s image:
God desires to know us personally, to give our lives meaning, purpose and fulfillment in and through Him.
When we are personally related to God, He receives glory and we are blessed.

But everyone falls short of God’s ideal plan.

We all turn away from God with our attitudes, in our thought life, and by our actions. This is called sin.

God wants an intimate relationship with each of us, but our sin causes a chasm to come between us and God.
Our sin separates us from God, and there are consequences. The wages of sin, the consequence for sin, is physical, spiritual, and eternal death.

Yet, God loves you and me and wants us to live abundantly and to have eternal life. God does not want you to remain separated from Him.

This is why God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to live on earth, to die in our place and pay the penalty that was due, for our sin.

Jesus then rose from the grave 3 days after He was buried in a tomb, and defeated death. Because of this, Jesus has bridged the sin chasm between God and people.

How to know Jesus:

We must trust Jesus and personally invite Him to become Lord of our lives. God offers His gift of salvation to all who believe Jesus Christ is the only way to be forgiven our sin debt, and be reconciled with God.

Anyone who receives this gift of salvation offered to us through Jesus Christ, is adopted as a son or daughter into God’s family and will live with Him forever in Heaven.

Pray to invite Jesus Christ to be your Savior ( the only one who can forgive your sin debt ) and Lord ( your personal life Leader )

Ask for forgiveness for your sins.

Romans 3:23 “ For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. “
Believe that Jesus’ death ( the penalty for our sin ) and resurrection ( He rose from the grave ) is the only solution for your sin debt.
Roman’s 5:8b “ While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Trust in God’s forgiveness and the gift of eternal life He
offers to everyone who believes, through Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:13 “ For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Invite Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.

2 Corinthians 5:15 “He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised.”

You can pray right now:
Dear God, I know I have sinned against you. I ask You to forgive my sins. I believe You sent Your only Son to die in my place and for my sin. I believe that Jesus rose again from the dead. Today I trust Jesus Christ to be my Savior and my Lord. I turn to Him for the forgiveness of my sins and to be the Leader of my life. Help me to trust and obey You. Thank You for Your promises to love me, save me, and never leave me.
I come to You in Jesus’ name and because of what He did for me. Amen.
